Jonathan Santore is composer in residence with the New Hampshire Master Chorale, and professor of music at Plymouth State University. He has won prizes and awards for his work including The American Prize in Composition (Choral Division), the American Composers Forum Welcome Christmas! Carol Contest, and an Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. His compositions have been performed by ensembles including VocalEssence, Conspirare, and the Choir of Rochester Cathedral, England; published by Alliance Music, Walton Music, Yelton Rhodes Music, and others; and performed and broadcast nationally and internationally.

He studied composition with Stephen Jaffe, Eugene Kurtz, Donald Grantham, Elaine Barkin, and William Kraft, and holds academic degrees from Duke University, The University of Texas at Austin, and UCLA. His biography is included in recent editions of Marquis Who’s Who in America.
