Joungmin Lee is a composer, choral conductor, and digital music artist focusing on acoustic and electroacoustic music with interdisciplinary approaches. Lee’s music is an experimentalist endeavor in pursuit of innovative sound both in the instrumental and digital worlds. He attempts to make this happen with several means, including spectral techniques, computer music, or any combination of these trends. 

Lee’s music has been performed in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Also, he has lectured presentations for his dissertation paper, Contemporary Music Composition Technique using Natural Science Data, at the 2020 University of Tennessee Contemporary Music Festival SCI Region IV, Natalie Haslam Music Center, and Research on Contemporary Composition at the University of North Georgia.

He holds a D.M.A. in Composition from The Ohio State University, M.Mus. in Music Technology from New York University, and M.Mus. in Computer Music from Sangmyung University in Seoul, Korea. In addition, Joungmin has studied with Dr. Thomas Wells, Dr. David Gompper, Dr. Bryan Haaheim, and Dr. Hyunsook Choi.
