Sarah is also a keen explorer and collaborator within the world of new classical vocal works being created by contemporary working composers. Recently, Sarah performed the role of Zina in the Midwest premiere of Dark Sisters with Third Eye Theatre Ensemble, and was featured in the role of Lisbe in Zémire et Azor with Milwaukee’s Skylight Music Theatre. Other recent roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni with The Floating Opera Company, Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica with Opera West, and performances with Thompson Street Opera Company in Phillip Thompson’s new opera The Final Battle for Love, The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company’s Princess Ida, and The Savoyaires’ H.M.S. Pinafore. She is also featured regularly with Opera on Tap Chicago, and was a founding member of Des Moines opera collective Opera Eight.
